Allen Harrison, owner, is a native of Alexandria, VA. Before entering high school he began work with a custom builder as a carpenter's apprentice. Through high school and college he completed work on high-end residential construction projects in the Washington, DC area at a time when contractors did most of their own work. Digging foundations, pouring concrete, framing, roofing and painting, as well as installing drywall, siding, gutters and decks, instilled a deep understanding of what it takes to earn a "job well done!."

After his own Fredericksburg home was completed in 2003, Allen decided to return to the building industry and put his skills and talents in complex financial and project management, construction, and inter-personal relationships to work to benefit others. For over six years he served as Vice President of a medium-sized custom homebuilding company where he managed operations, devoted special attention to every project, and worked closely with clients to design and draw the plans for every home the company built.

Allen completed his undergraduate degree in English and History, and went on to earn an M.B.A. in Finance at the University of Rochester's William E. Simon School. He also did graduate level study at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA.

Along the way, Allen worked as a manager in the gourmet food and retail industries, where he oversaw an industry profit center and overall business operations, successfully meeting established financial performance goals.

While earning his M.B.A., Allen served an internship with a public accounting firm in Northern Virginia. Thereafter he joined the Chubb Insurance Top Gun Program with American Management Systems, serving as a software programming consultant on multi-million dollar projects using client-server computing environments and large databases. He went on to a career in project and program management with CACI, a national defense contractor, where he managed large, complex projects and multiple teams.
